MEET THE DESIGNER
LAUREN TRUEMAN
FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL INTERIOR DESIGNER
BID, NCIDQ, ARIDO
Hey there! My name is Lauren, and I can’t wait to guide you through your next interior design adventure.
Nothing gets me excited like some good ol’ fashioned creative problem solving, and the ever-evolving world of interior design and construction has been my chosen outlet for as long as I can remember. I became familiar with the hands-on elements of renovations during my small town childhood, but it was the bustling streets of Toronto during university that brought my creative personality to life. The only thing I ever got tired of hearing about was how interior designers don’t understand enough about construction, and how frustrating that makes them to work with. For me, this all added up to one ultimate goal:
Be the designer who trades and homeowners alike want to work with.
Since then, I’ve spent nearly a decade working hand-in-hand with the trades executing my design concepts, learning the ins-and-outs of residential construction and perfecting my problem-solving abilities with the guys and gals who know how to get the work done. In addition to that, in 2019 I earned my ARIDO designation and began holding the official title of Interior Designer. (Click here to understand more about what that means.)
Alright, so what’s in it for you? A fully qualified creative professional with work experience in both urban and rural settings, a seasoned problem-solver who has an understanding of construction processes and budgets, and a down-to-earth friendly face who knows how to play nice with your entire construction team.
So, are you ready for the ultimate interior design experience?
LET’S GET PERSONAL
My other passion: this beautiful place we all call home.
I caught the travel bug a while back, and since then have travelled to 31 countries all around the globe. I love learning about new cultures, trying new food, hiking epic landscapes, and especially becoming inspired by different styles of architecture and design. I love to infuse my work with various elements, like Spanish patterns for texture or Scandinavian minimalism for simplicity.
When I’m not globe-trotting or spending time with loved ones, you can find me keeping busy at home with DIY projects or watching The Office on repeat with my husband.
